Course with LeSS certification

Provisional Certified LeSS Practitioner

The same course, online

Content and learning objectives match the Certified LeSS Practitioner. The difference is the format and the certification.

What it covers

The course covers the same ground as the three-day in-person course: the principles, rules and guides of Large-Scale Scrum, organizing around customer value, feature teams, product owner and product backlog. It also covers how several teams work on one product, the technical conditions, and how an adoption actually begins.

This is spread across several online sessions over a longer period, with gaps in between. That brings an advantage the in-person course does not have: between sessions you can try things out in your own organization and bring your observations back.

How the certification differs

This course leads to a provisional certification. It converts into the full Certified LeSS Practitioner certification once you attend an in-person event, such as a Certified LeSS Practitioner course, a Certified LeSS for Executives course, or a LeSS and Learn session.

This is not a drawback but a deliberate distinction: part of what happens in a room cannot be replaced by an online format.

Who it is for

Anyone involved in a LeSS adoption who cannot travel or prefers to learn online. Basic Scrum knowledge is expected.
